Helping First-Time Home Buyers Take Advantage of Economic Stimulus Tax Credits
Real estate agents "are seeing a surge in first-time home purchases due to ... the soft housing market and recent government and private efforts to jump-start the economy," according to the Wisconsin State Journal (WSJ). And, WSJ noted, new home buyers are packing seminars such the Housing Center's free classes for first-time homeowners.
The mission of The Housing Center is to expand and sustain affordable homeownership.
- We believe that homeowners want to protect their investment throughout the lifecycle of homeownership.
- We believe that lack of information about the home buying process and ownership responsibilities and opportunities can prove to be very costly to consumers and communities.
- We believe that continuing education is key to success throughout the lifecycle of homeownership.
- We believe that neighborhoods and entire communities are strengthened by the pride and stability of homeownership.
DCHA and Project Home's programs and services help buyers and homeowners with the purchase and maintenance of what is often the largest investment you make. The Housing Center offers several programs and services.
