If you submitted your online application to the Section 8 HCV & PBV waiting list lottery opening (8 AM 08/24/2023 - 5:00P.M. 08/28/2023) AND you received a confirmation number, your application was successfully submitted and was a part of the lottery. You will receive a letter in the mail informing you whether or not your application was drawn to be added to the waiting list, with instructions for next steps for those whose applications were drawn.

If you applied AND received a confirmation number, but have not yet received any mail from DCHA, you may reach out with questions via eligibility@dcha.net or info@dcha.net.

DCHA's office hours are 10:00A.M. through 3:00P.M., Monday through Thursday. DCHA is only able to provide assistance to and answer questions from our current clients at this time. Current participants and applicants can mail, fax, or email questions, documentation, or reports of change to us.

Please note that we do not offer emergency housing or emergency rental assistance, advice for landlord-tenant disputes or questions about rental law, or help in finding and applying for housing.
