August Section 8 Waitlist Lottery Applicants

If you submitted an online application to our recent Section 8 HCV & PBV waiting list lottery opening (between 8 AM on Thursday, August 24th, and 5 PM on Monday, August 28th), and you received a confirmation number, your application was successfully submitted and was a part of the lottery.

  • To check your lottery status, please use this lottery lookup link. You will need to enter your social security number or alien registration number, your confirmation number, and your date of birth.

  • To create your account or log into your account, please go to this link. Please note that you cannot submit documents via the MyHousing portal at this time.

Letters were sent out to applicants who were selected to be added to one or both of the waiting lists they applied for to inform them of what the next steps are. Letters were also sent to applicants who If your application was not accepted, you will receive a letter informing you of this.

If you applied and received a confirmation number, but have not yet received any mail from DCHA, you may reach out with questions via eligibility@dcha.net or info@dcha.net.

Valor on Washington PBVs

Project-Specific PBV waiting list opening for veterans & their families.

The Valor apartment community, located at 1322 East Washington in Madison, offers affordable two- and three-bedroom apartment homes for veterans and their families.  8 of the units will have Project Based Vouchers (PBVs).

In order to qualify for the PBVs at Valor, applicants must:

 

  • have a household member who is a veteran
     

  • qualify for a two- or three-bedroom unit based on DCHA subsidy standards & their household composition

Landlord Announcement Bulletin:
Carbon Monoxide Detector Requirement

HUD regulations have been passed which require the owners/landlords of all properties that receive federal rental assistance to provide a functioning carbon monoxide alarm/detector, with this requirement being effective Tuesday, December 27th, 2022 (12/27/2022).

DCHA Office Hours

Our office is located at 6000 Gisholt Drive #203, Monona, WI 53713. We are on the second floor of the building.

 

DCHA's office hours are as follows:

Monday - 10:00 A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Tuesday - 10:00A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Wednesday - 10:00A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Thursday - 10:00A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Friday - Closed to Public

DCHA's offices are closed on weekends & federal holidays.

If you would like to drop off paperwork at our offices, you can feel free to leave it in the locked dropbox in the hallway to the left of our office door. It is checked at least once daily on business days by DCHA staff.
