Section 8 Waiting Lists Closed
DCHA's Section 8 waiting list is currently closed. At this time, there is no estimated date for the list to reopen. Information on DCHA's waiting lists and any current or upcoming openings may be found here.

If you were placed on the waiting list following the S8 HCV & PBV waitlist openings in August of 2023, you may log in to or create an account in DCHA's Applicant Portal website by clicking here. The Applicant Portal can be used to check your application or make changes (attachments or documents cannot be submitted at this time via the applicant portal site).

DCHA will only contact applicants by mail, so please ensure that DCHA has an up-to-date mailing address for you. If any mail sent to you by DCHA is returned as undeliverable or we never receive a response, you will be removed from the waiting list.
